√ H. H. ROGERS 16 EAST 53rd STREET DICTATED SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. NEW YORK February 24th, 1931. Rolf H. Waegen, Esq., Jacques Seligmann & Co., Inc. 3 East 51st Street, New York. Dear Mr. Waegen: In reply to your inquiry of February 19th, I am very sorry to have to refuse to lend you my Fragonard Drawings. I am obliged to do so however, only because they are in storage with many other things and as everything has been put in wooden crates and packed according to size and bulk, it would mean the opening of a vast number of packing cases which have only been recently sealed. If however, during the month, an opportunity occurs for me to locate even one or two drawings without disturbing other articles, I shall be pleased to notify you. Very sincerely yours, H H Roger HHR/B Wa
