Dear Mrs. Parker:

By now you must have learned that the world's worst correspondents are museum directors -- perhaps not so much by choice as by force of circumstance. From Esther's letter of recent date, I have gleaned that you have not yet received the catalogues which I had promised to send. I know that they were in placed in an envelope, but alas, I fear that they were not mailed. I am rectifying that situation today and sending you off several copies. Life here is always so hectic that I sometimes really don't know "whether I'm coming or going".

We were all very sorry that you could not get down here during the exhibition, but still hope to be able to entice you down here at some future date. I don't see how it will be possible for me to get away to New York before spring, but I shall certainly call on you when I do.

Please give my best regards to Esther when next you see her, and tell her a letter will be forthcoming in the not too distant future. Her exhibition here was really stunning. With all best wishes, I am

Sincerely,

Russell B. Thornton
