Dear Mr. Thorton:

As I wrote previously I have been hoping to visit you and your Museum and felt it might be possible to make the trip while Esther's paintings are hanging.

However it seems impossible to leave now because we are working frantically an exhibition of "French Seventeenth Century Paintings" to open here November 23rd. As you know the catalogue should already be in the hand of the printer, but even that has not yet been accomplished, and sooo.... my trip will simply have to be postponed.

I hope you will be able to time one of your visits to New York to coincide with this unique exhibition of ours. A formal invitation will be sent to you, of course, shortly before the opening.

Yours very sincerely

Mrs. T.D. Parker

P.S. Esther just phoned. She is so appreciative of all you did that she just bubbles!
