September 13th., 1953.
Dear Esther:
It has been very nice to have all the news from Chatanooga, and to know that the date is now definitely fixed. I would love to go, and if it becomes possible, will be there ( but dont count upon that definitely). I've never been to Chatanooga, though I had wanted to attend the opening of the museum several summers ago.

Have you taken up the question of publicity with Mr. Thornton? I suppose he or you will automatically notify the Art News and Art Digest — but so many out of town institutions forget to do so. And see that an announcement gets to the Whitney, University of Illinois, Nebraska, etc., which hold big Annuals.

There are a lot of things to do now as we just reopened, so I cant write more, but do keep me posted and do also, please, say a particular "hello" to Russell Thornton for me,

Love,

Miss Esther G. Polick,
c/o Mr. and Mrs. J. Morgan,
Rising Fawn, Georgia.

P.S. Do thank your friends again for their nice invitation... and let us all hope I can meet them at your show.
