January 16th., 1950.

Dear Mr. Robbins:

You and the Rochester attorney will probably experience some surprise upon reading the name of Esther G. Rolick in one of the ads on the attached cutting from yesterday's "Times".

When one considers the cost of such an advertisement it appears pure folly for so distant a show to be advertised. The usual purpose of taking space is to lure the critics into writing a review of the exhibition, but in this case that can hardly be expected as the good gentlemen do not venture so many miles from 57th Street. And certainly even she could not believe the public would make the journey. So she probably felt the compensation would come through the knowledge that we would be aware of her activity....which is decidedly a luxury.

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. T.D. Parker
Contemporary American Department.
