Galveston, Texas, May 14th, 1867.

Ms Francis Vallade is hereby appointed a teacher of Freedmen's School under the auspices of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, State of Texas, at a salary of Ten Dollars per month. 

This appointment is made in accordance with the provisions of Circluar No. 2, dated Headquarters, Bureau Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, State of Texas, February 7, 1867, and will take effect May 1st 1867, and remain in force until revoked by orders from this office. 

Ms Francis Vallade will report to A. H. Mayer/[[?]], May [[?]] Sub=Assistant Commissions at Liberty, Texas, for assignment to duty.
