This agreement made and entered into on this the 21st day of March 1867 between W. H. Hiestand, Sub. Asst. Comis. Bu R.F. & A.L. State of Texas and Valentine Reamenschneider of said state and county. - Witnesseth

That the said Valentine Reamenschneider for and in consideration of the Sum of Forty two Dollars and Sixty cents ($42.60) currency, hereby promises and obligates himself to make certain repairs on a house in the town of Hallettsville (said house to be used as a school house) viz Four (4) window shutters four feet by three. Repairing said window frames. Eighty feet of wash board twelve inches wide. Repairing three (3) doors. Repairing floor. Repairing weather boarding and also to furnish one door lock and three (3) window bolts, Said repairs to be completed on or before the first day of April proximo.
