Articles of Agreement I entered into this 13th day of July A.D. 1867, between James Lowie Sub. Asst Com Bureau R.F. and A.L. and his successor in Office of the one part for and on behalf of the United States of America and Charles Goodman of the town of Jasper of the Other part for and on behalf of himself his heirs executing administrators and his assigns.

Witnesseth. That the said James Lowrie for and on behalf of the United States of America as said and the [[son?]] Edwards Goodman for himself his heirs executing Administrators and his assigns as said have mutually agreed and do by this [[presents?]] mutually covenant and agree to and with other as follows.

[[left margin]] I [[/left margin]] That the said Charles Goodman shall make and deliver to said James Lowrie Sub Asst Com Bu R.A. and A.L. One black board, five, 5; by six, 6; feet. Twelve school desks four, 4, feet long and at the ends and sides places underneath to contain books and sixteen school benches four, 4, feet long. all of these to be made of price lumber of good quality and finished in workmanlike manner
