Articles of Agreement,
Entered into this first day in the month of October A.D. 1867, between James P. Butler, Sub. Asst. Comr. of the Bureau of R. F. & A. L, for the town of Huntsville, and County of Walker, Texas, and his successors in office, of the first part, for and on behalf of the United States of America, and George W. Benchley of the town of Huntsville, and the County of Walker, Texas, of the other part, for and on behalf of himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns. 

Witnesseth: That the said James P. Butler, for and on behalf of the United States of America as said, and the said George W. Benchley, for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, as said, have mutually agreed, and do by these presents, mutually covenant and agree, to and with each other, as follows:

I First: That the said George W. Benchley agrees and binds himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to complete a frame building in Block No. 15, in the town of Huntsville, County of Walker, State of Texas; (30) Thirty feet wide, (60) sixty feet long, and (14) fourteen feet high-

II Second: Said building to be enclosed with draped weather boarding, substantially nailed, showing (5 1/2) five and one half inches to the weather, terminating with a box cornice of proportionate size, said cornice to extend a crop the end of the building=

III Third: The roof of said building to be well sheeted to receive the shingles. The shingles to show (5 1/2) five and one half inches to the weather, substantially nailed and put on in a workmanlike manner.
