Specification of the Work

The Freedmen at this place agree to do the work themselves and will proceed as follows.

The Building will be erected on Lot 6. Block 176, 25 x 35 feet one Story high, 10 feet up to the Roof, and will have 9 windows and 2 Doors. It will be completed in the opinion of the head Carpenter in 12 days.

County of Calhoun} Be it remembered that on this 10th day of March AD 1868 before Mr C[[W?]] Hartup a Notary Public within & for the County & state aforesaid, personally appeared Capt Fred W. Bailey 35th [[? Infy?]], Sub asst Com Bu R.F. & .A.L, and Wm Westhoff of the City of Indianola, County & state aforesaid, who severally acknowledged to me that they made executed & signed the foregoing instrument of agreement for the consideration uses & [[purposes?]] therein stated, and I certify that I know the said Capt Fred W Bailey & [[Wm?]] Westhoff who made the said acknowledgement to be the individuals described in and who executed the said agreement
