Floors.  to be of good quality, well seasoned, yellow pine; joists for both floors to be 2x10 inch laid 18 inches from centres, with one row of cross bridging on each side of center wall and girder; to have three (3) iron anchors 2 in x 1/2 inch in, and four (4) feet - long cut-in each side wall and firmly bolted with iron bolts and nuts to joists on each side. The joists thus anchored to lap over in the centre three (3) feet and to be bolted firmly together.
The upper floor to be supported in the center on a girder 8x10 inches running the length of the building, and to be firmly anchored into each end wall by iron anchors to be 3 in x 1 in iron and six (6) feet long, bolted and nestled The said girder to be will spliced and bolted where it is joined and rest upon two (2) neat iron columns five (5) inches in diameter. making not more than three (3) lengths of timber. Floors to be laid with 1 1/4 inch mill worked yellow pine tonged and grooved, and secret nailed to each joist.
