Balusters.     to be turned, 1 1/2 inch diameter at the Butt dove-tailed into the steps and bored into the hand rail. Two (2) Balusters to each step; a Post four (4) inches in Diameter at the Bull to be firmly fixed and tenoned into the floor at the bottom, and at the top of the stairs, and on each platform on the stairs.
Hand rail to be oval 2x4 inch.
Balusters to be painted, Handrail to be stained brown and varnished.

Roof.     to have 1/4 pitch; to be covered with first quality cedar shingles, laid to expose five (5) inches to the weather. Rafters to be 2x6 inch, to be 2 feet apart, with collar beams 1x6 inch half way up the rafter, on every pair of rafters.  Braces from rafter to joist on every other (or alternate) pair of rafters.  The rafters to be firmly spiked to the joists.  A projection eighteen (18) inches over the wall all round the building, finished with scroll nailed to the projection.
