Specifications of a school house to be constructed at Marlin Falls Co Texas

California style 24 x 36 feet, outside measurement 12 feet in the clear between ceiling & floor. Boxing of good pine lumber 1 x 12 inch dressed on outside. Batting 1 x 3 inch same quality as boxing. House to be firmly fixed on oak blocks, twenty four inches from the ground.

To be of good sound pine lumber 2 x 6 — or hewed oak.

[[left margin]] Sleepers 

To be of good sound pine lumber 2 x 10 to rest on centre sill (of pine or hard oak) running length of house.

To be of good sound pine lumber 2 x 6.

[[left margin]] Strips 

Entirely around the building six feet from floor 2 x 4.

Of 1 1/4 pine plank, dressed tongue & grooved secret nailed

One double door 4 x 8 - four pannels.  6 inch casing. Proper lock bolts &c.
