Commissioned October 6, 1967, for 150' DH, 1600 RVR day and night.

*1. RVR - rollout end - RVR/IRA equipment will be commissioned in January 1968.
2. Inner marker equipment received. Facility will be commissioned in December 1967.
3. Continuous power project not yet completed.

Chicago-O'Hare, Illinois
Runway 14L
150 feet wide; 10,000 feet long; CPA Runway 14R
*Estimated commissioning December 1967.
*1. V-ring localizer commissioned October 20, 1967, as a Category II facility.
2. Installation of Capture Effect equipment scheduled to start in Spring of 1968. Present glide slope satisfactory for Category II conditions; however, Region advises that they are planning to convert the facility to Capture Effect to preclude unexpected facility outage and integrity due to changing conditions. Equipment shipped during September 1967.
3. Centerline lights installation started September 5, 1967 estimated completion date November 15, 1967, weather permitting.
*4. Touchdown zone lights being installed; estimated completion date November 15, 1967.
*5. RVR rollout is estimated to be operating by October 31, 1967. The approach RVR for 32R and 27R is being modified to 250-foot baseline to serve as rollout RVR for 14L.
