ATA AIRPORT AFFAIRS MEMORANDUM NO. 68-6

To: Airport Affairs Committee Mailing List

Subject: Studies of Metropolitan Airport Systems

The fourth paragraph of the attached letter received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development lists several large metropolitan areas which are undertaking studies of metropolitan airport systems within the context of an overall comprehensive planning program. Airlines serving these metropolitan areas should be aware of these projects and the properties coordinator should make every effort to see that the airlines involved receive a briefing on the current status of these projects and have appropriate channels for input to the studies. You will note that it is stated that the list in paragraph four is a partial one. We are attempting to obtain a complete list and will distribute it upon receipt. This department will undertake to obtain data on the airport systems studies conducted by the states of Arkansas and Kentucky.

If we may be of assistance, please advise.
