The Chief Dispatcher is responsible for maintaining at all times in the Dispatch office, an up-to-date list of agencies personnel and their phone numbers for the notifications prescribed herein.

The Treasurer shall notify Company attorneys and Insurance Underwriters as necessary.

D. NOTIFICATION OF RELATIVES OR NEXT-OF-KIN OF PASSENGERS 

The Traffic Manager shall be responsible for such notifications. He shall coordinate such notification with Public Relations Counsel and the Vice President. (J. E. Gallagher)

When a major aircraft accident occurs, the Traffic Manager shall immediately obtain a complete list of passengers and employees aboard the helicopter. In addition he shall obtain to the extent possible the names, relationship, and location of known relatives and next-of-kin; and the business connection, sex, age and home address of the passenger.

If any passengers were received from connecting carriers, the local Sales Manager or Reservations Manager of such carriers should be asked to cooperate in obtaining the above information.

The fastest means of communication shall be used in obtaining all information necessary for identification of passengers, and for notification of next-of-kin.

E. NOTIFICATION OF RELATIVES AND NEXT-OF-KIN OF EMPLOYEES

The appropriate Department Head shall be responsible for such notification. Such notification will frequently be made best by a close personal friend in the department.

F. PROMPTNESS REQUIRED

Every effort should be made to complete the notification of next-of-kin before the passenger list becomes public. No time must be lost in handling these notifications. Tact and sympathetic understanding should be used. Notification may be direct or through a relative or friend.
