1.7 MISCELLANEOUS 

A. COLLECTION AND PRESERVATION OF EVIDENCE 

1. All possible steps must be taken to preserve the helicopter and any records which have escaped destruction. If wreckage is scattered, a map should be drawn showing location of each piece of wreckage, as quickly and accurately as possible.

2. All pertinent records, forms and reports automatically become a part of the accident file. Prompt steps must be taken to assemble records which have a bearing on the accident, such as maintenance records, records of radio contacts, manifests, dispatching records, etc.

3. In the case of a major accident, all stations through which the flight operated shall promptly collect all pertinent reports and forms and hold them until instructions are received from the Operations Manager.

4. Under no circumstances shall accident records be released to any person or governmental agency unless authorized by the Operations Manager.

5. If a non-company photographer is employed to take photographs, a definite agreement with him should be made that all negatives will become the property of the Company exclusively. 

B. JOB ORDERS 

A Job Order should be set up by the appropriate Department Head to cover all expenses related to the accident and the investigation.
