Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned lands pr Robeson Co. 
Aug 19th 1865
This indenture made and entered into this 19th day of August 1865 between William Jenkins agent of Nancy Jenkins of Robeson Co. of the one part and Osborne Thompson and family of the other part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the said Nancy Jenkins by herself or her agent delivering to the said Osborne Thompson 8 bushels of corn 30 bushels of potatoes 200 lbs fodder for the hire of himself and family from the first of April until this date, then he the said Osborne Thompson for himself and his family agrees to take charge of the same by carrying them away from the premises of the said Nancy Jenkins. The said Osborne Thompson further agrees to support said wife and family so that they not become a charge on this Bureau or any [[strikethrough]] any [[/strikethrough]] other department of the government.
