Office of Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned Lands for Robeson Co
Lumberton August 26th 1865

This indenture made and entered into this 26th day of August 1865 between A. H. Seely agent of his mother Mrs. Arline Seely of Robeson Co of the one part and Henry Seely and Augustus Seely Freedmen of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the payment by above mentioned A. H. Seely & by his mother Arline Seely of the sum of nine bushels of corn each to the above named freedmen with the crops which they the Raise made for themselves.  Then they the same freedmen Henry and Augustus agree on their part to receive the above mentioned amount as full compensation for their labor to date.
