Office of Bureau of Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned Lands for Robeson County
Lumberton August 26th 1865.

This indenture made and entered into this 26th day of August 1865. between W. W. Glover of Robenson County of the one Part and David Campbell Handy Coldell Peter Glover Freedmen of said County of the other part. witnesseth and in consideration of said W. W. Glover paying to David Campbell and Handy Coldell food clothing and medical attendance from this 26th day of August 1865 to the 1st day of January 1866. said Peter Glover to receive after 75 bushels of corn per head for each of 4 plough animals used in producing the crop. 45 Bushels for wear and tear of Harness and 12 Bushels of Peas used in planting also 4 bushels of corn and 8 Bushels of potatoes subtracted from the amount of corn peas and potatoes one half of the remainder to go to the Farm and the other half to be divided between the above named Peter Glover after the other laborers upon the crop are paid out of the whole amount produced. Said Peter Glover is to receive one suit of clothes and one pair shoes Ration & medical attendance during said time. Also each Freedman viz. David Campbell and Handy Caldell above mentioned each representing their families are to receive for each of their family [[strikethrough]] receive [[/strikethrough]] one suit of clothes and one pair of shoes and rations & medical attendance
