This agreement made and entered to this first day of Septm. 1865 between L. W. Thompson Planter of the one part, and Drew Thompson colored Freedman of the other part witnesseth that the said L. W. Thompson agrees to deliver to this said Freedman fifteen bush of corn for the services of his wife Emeline a colored Freedwoman, for the year 1865 with food clothing, shoes and medical attendance for herself and her child, and the said Drew Thompson on his part agrees to receive the above compensation herein stated in full of all demands for the labor of said Emeline until the end of the present year, and further agrees also that his wife Emeline will render true and faithful service and obey all lawful order as she had been doing when a slave
