themselves and their families with sufficient meal to bread the same until the first of January next.

And the undersigned Freedmen or laborers on their part agree convenient and by their presents do bind themselves to accept the above compensation in full of all demand for their labor until January. They will labor faithfully for ten hours per each day for said Morrisey obeying all his lawful commands with respect and alacrity as they have been accustomed to do when they were slaves.
