Lumberton Sept 28th 1865

This agreement entered into between D McCormick Agt of Mrs Nash of above county and the Freedmen & women undersigned of the second part. Witnesseth that the said McCormick agrees to give them the following wages. 
To King and family, 50 bushels of corn and his hog food & shoes and medical attendance for himself wife and son. To Peter 15 bushels of corn 6 gallons syrup food clothing and medical attendance
To Ellen ten bushels of corn food clothing and medical attendance
To Auzan, 10 bushels of corn and food clothing and medical attendance till the 1st of Jany 1866 and they on their part agree serve truly and work ten hours per day with the same respect which they did when they were slaves
