We the undersigned do hereby agree for [[strikethrough]] him [[/strikethrough]] ourselves & our families to make the following contract with Daniel L. Russell Sr for the year 1866 The terms and conditions being set forth in the same order in which our respective names are subscribed - 1st Harry Gillaspie is to cut Turpentine boxes at one cent a box through the season or as long as he is needed and at the proper times to take a task of 12000 boxes & chips then weekly during the entire season at $20.00 per month; and his wife to serve in the home & yard to do all necessary work appertaining to either at $5.00 per month both to be paid by said Russell; payments to be made one half of the amount due at the time of such quarter the balance to be returned after the end of the year. - 

2ndly Jesse Gillaspie is to cut boxes at one cent a box through the season or as long as he is needed & at the proper time to task of 12000 boxes & chips then weekly during the season at $20.00 per month and his wife and daughter to work in the farm for the consideration of having the whole family fed that is, to receive 5 pecks of meal & 15 lbs of meat each week. 

3th Robbin is to work upon the same terms as the above & his wife to work in the farm for $50.00 for a year -. 4th Job Gillaspie to work upon the same terms as the others & his wife the same except that she is to have $25.00 for the whole year-. 5th Sandy to work upon the same terms as the above- 7th Luke is to work on the farm for seven dollars per month for the year
