Gentlemen:

I have been referred to you by Mr. M. Garreau-Dombasle, Commercial Attache of the French Consulate.

An estate which I represent has on hand a most remarkable compote which is said to be of the Henri Deux, also called Oiron ware, which it desires to dispose of. It is nineteen inches high, the cover of the bowl is fourteen inches across, and the diameter of the base of the stem on which it stands is seven and three quarter inches. The rim of the bowl is beautifully adorned with cameo-like bas reliefs.

If you feel that you would be interested, I will be glad to send you a photograph of this unique piece of ceramics.

Very truly yours,
Marshall Solberg
