515 Madison Avenue,
New York, N.Y.

Dear Mr. Adams,

On the 23rd of this month we are going to open an exhibition of portraits by Jessie Voss Lewis (Mrs. H. L. Daingerfield Lewis), which will last until November 15th.

Mrs. Lewis, who lives at Hewlett, Long Island, is quite a well known society painter, and has painted the portraits of very many prominent New Yorkers.

I am, therefore, taking the liberty of herewith enclosing you the photograph of one of her latest works which will be shown in the exhibition, and which I thought possibly you might be able to reproduce in "The Spur".

I would appreciate it very much if you could do this, and in the meanwhile thanking you in anticipation

Believe me to be

Yours very truly,
