I have the honor to state that in the Infirm Farm at Donaldsonville, we have about sixty children ready for schooling, and to request that you will have a school opened on the place, and provide a teacher for same. Dr. Bentley who presents this is the Surgeon in charge of the Farm. Please render him all the assistance you can in setting the school into motion.
