To the Board of Education

Gentlemen

I am in receipt of your letter of 23 just, with the request to explain certain discrepencies between Capt Thrall's statement and my own.

In obedience to your order, I respectfully report as follows.
After the annoyances already reported; I refrained to Gen Cameron [[?]] & entered my complaint he promised me protection, and give me a written order for the arrest of the guilty parties, I placed it myself in the hands of Provost Marshall Thrall. in the presence of his clerk. Capt Thrall said he would see Gen Cameron about it next day the nuisance was repeated and as the parties aforesaid had not been arrested I reported the case by Mr J H Stiner to the Board the following day - the Sunday following 7th just in the midst of my Sunday-School one Mr Boudrow the father of the of the guilty boys came to the school and threatened, me and raised a disturbance I was compelled to close the school. I then reported the matter to Gen Cameron; the man was summonsed before the Gen. & he give him a reprimanding.
