I have the honor to report that the Building in question is used by us, as are other Churches, - as a Colored School. It is small, built of wood of the plainest construction, & all the fixtures are simple & of little value.
No injury whatever results to the property from our occupation, nor do we interfere, in the least with the use of the house as a Church on Sundays.
A careful Person is hired by the board whose sole duty it is to preserve neatness on the Premises, and we have good testimony that the Church was never kept so clean so now
I would also report that a large number of Colored Children live in the vicinity, and that no other School building can be found.
Very Respectfully
Your Obt Servant

Chairman Board of Education
