Gen.

A. Himmel a loyal citizen now in the city of New York - and who is the lawful owner of a brick building on Derbigny Street in this city now occupied and used as a School house for colored children - seized for that purpose by order of Capt Robt. S. Dunham Provost Marshall New Orleans - on the 1st of Sept 1864 - prays that he be paid rent therefore at the rate of $50 - per month - which application is respectfully submited to the first consideration of Your Hon'l. Board
