No. 2. Thibodeaux 4th Nov 1864
Duplicate
Captain,
I have selected for the use of the colored schools a dilapidated Brick Warehouse, on the left Bank of Bayou Lafourche, about two miles below Thibodeaux, standing in the road in front of Joseph Tuckers place.
Also, one of two vacant dwellings, about three miles below Lafourche Croping, on the left bank; one standing on the plantation of Col. Vick, the other is on the plantation of Doct. Ewing about half a mile below the Vick place. Either of these houses is suitable & well located for a school. Will you please give me authority, to occupy one of their buildings for the purpose above specified? & much oblige
Very Respectfully
Yr. obt. Svt.
Wm. Fiske
