Miss Dorothy Vicaji,
Hotel St. Regis,
55th St. & 5th Ave.,
New York City.

Dar Miss Vicaji,

I am very sorry that I did not answer your letter before, but as you know, it arrived during my absence and when I returned from my previous trip two weeks ago, I was laid up for several days, and somehow or other, your letter was overlooked.

Now, as regards the commission that you suggest, this would be very satisfactory to us, and once the paintings are delivered to our galleries, there would be no further expense to you.

Likewise, the date you suggest, viz., between October 15th and October 20th would be quite convenient for us. I wish you would quite understand, however, that this arrangement, as I wrote you before, will be subject to our obtaining new premises by that time, because, to be perfectly frank with you, I do not mind telling you that we have not been able to find any satisfactory building up to the present time.

Again expressing my regrets for not having answered this letter before, and with my kindest regards,

Believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., Inc.
