W.H. Hoeveler

William (Bill) Hoeveler is Manager of Navigation at 605 Third Avenue on Flight Operations Staff reporting to the Staff Vice President - Flight Operations.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1917, he studied in France and the United States and holds a B.A. Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. 

Joining TWA in May 1947 as a navigator, he previously navigated on American Airlines ATC operation beginning in 1941. He was promoted to Superintendent of Navigators in 1957 and held the post until joining Flight Operations Staff in 1964.

Mr. Hoeveler is responsible for

coordinating staff activity, as well as participating in IATA - ICAO and ATA industry affairs as they relate to flight operations. In addition, his duties include research and development in navigation equipment and techniques, and he is responsible for coordination of the Computerized Flight Planning Program - both International and Domestic.

Bill is married to the former Pauline (Teeny) Rapp who was a secretary in Flight Operations from 1945 to 1953. They have two children, William 12 and Nanette 9. They live in Huntington, Long Island where Bill is active in school affairs and has been President of the Inter-PTA Council for the past two years.
