NEW YORK AIRWAYS, INC.

HELICOPTER LABORATORY

12. Scheduled helicopter service to the metropolitan airports has provided a means of obtaining maximum utilization of these facilities by coordinating their traffic and equalizing their burdens. Passengers and shipper resistance to enplaning or deplaning at Idlewild or Newark as against LaGuardia has been largely overcome as a result of the fact that the scheduled helicopter service substantially eliminates the difference in transit time that formerly existed to the ultimate destination.

13. New York is the largest U.S. foreign air terminal. It is the natural gateway to Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, as well as Latin America. NYA has entered into interline traffic agreements and joint fares with most of the international carriers and many of the domestic carriers serving the area.

14. As a routine occurrence NYA's around-the-clock schedules frequently accelerate the movement of shipments required to keep the production lines of basic manufacturing facilities in operation during periods of unforeseen equipment break-downs or inventory shortages.

(Example - NYA offers a daily service to Pearl River, home of the Lederle Laboratory to New Brunswick, home of Johnson and Johnson and the Squibb Research Laboratory. These flights are used for the purpose of expediting the movement of critical drug supplies
