Well I suppose when this letter reaches you Sidney will be gone on his journey I hope he got well over and his tiredness & you two have a good time together. Our day was spent very pleasantly our bill of fare was roast pork, sweet potatoes, squash tomato & lettuce salad & mince pie. the decorations were two lovely candles (red) there was a red thread that ran through the tablecloth. We enjoyed looking over out presents before eating our dinner. your presents were very nice & useful & liked them all your picture, the painting was lovely it was true to life. the warm skirt I can enjoy cold days the dress with those pretty bangles on it was very lovely. the night robe was warm & will keep me nice on cold nights, the box of paper will be also useful. I wish we could be together as you say, but Sidney will soon be home & hope the turkey lasts till he get there. Now Doris is home you will be able to enjoy each other in his absence. Its not putting in snowing as if it meant business. I hate it think of winter.

Tom Ballantine & Gertrude came over last night just as I had gone up to bed. She tells his fortune, thats what he comes for & she always tells him something he wants to know about. She hits it straight every time. Well this is all I can think of so hope you had a good X Mas together love Ma
