Dear Doris

Sidneys check arrived Monday morning & I was greatly surprised thanks very much & was sorry to hear he was down with a cold he needs a complete rest hope he stays at home till he gets one.

Tell Doris we have got rid of our Turkey at last she should have stayed longer to help us eat it. hope she has a good time down home. Mrs Barrys sister Josephine sent me a big box I guess its also candy although I haven't opened it. "Bill" was here Sunday he said we should have sent for him to open our ice chest, but we told him that Mr Turner happened to come in the nick of time, so we got him he was glad to help us. Le Blanck Elizabeths husband, said he would gladly done it they start for Florida Sunday it will seem good to have a lock put onto the little Store house building.

Well our snow storm has arrived. the weather report said a light snow but its anything but light. our groceries are coming to night. we are going to have a little roast of pork for our xmas dinner no more Turkeys for us. I have lived very light since we had it my hobby is butter scotch pudding I love it & don't care for meat of any sort in my old age
