Stoughton Dec 16th 1947

Dear Doris. A rain all night but clear this morning with a temperature of 60° this forenoon but growing colder with a stiff breeze & the weather prediction of very much colder towards night.

the rain took away all our snow. we have plenty of dry leaves blowing around. Mr. Pupello has just driven in our yard with a lot of lumber in his truck he is carrying into his back yard, his wife I think has got home but hav'nt seen her yet. now he has just driven his truck down street. I dont expect to see Doris before she goes home she always sends us a card when she is coming. it must be a busy time for her. I am glad your xmas time is over everything so high you should not do so much giving. I received a card from Myrtie she always remembers me she is looking her age. I am sending this card to day if the Postman comes this afternoon Ma
