Dear Doris

This is a very sunny day but cold 30° this morning we had a light covering of snow Friday just enough to make it slippery the children are having fun coasting down hill they welcome the snow if no one else does I enjoy looking out watching them. no Doris this weekend suppose she is busy these days. she only stayed a few hours with us on Thanksgiving day. she called to Mabel Colcorde just before she came here but didn't find her at home then came here & ate her dinner after going over to see Maude, then after dinner layed down to have her nap then. had two helpings of mince pie just before leaving to go home. so you see she wasnt here to visit us but a very short time. glad of having her come for she helped us get rid of one Turkey. it still hangs on. I am getting tired of eating it. shall be glad to see the last of it though it will take the rest of the week to finish, as she will turn it into a soup by tomorrow she thinks. I think Doris should wear more clothes should think she'd freeze her long legs were bare not even socks it was a cold day here on Thanksgiving. I wore more clothes on our hottest day in summer I dont see how girls keep warm these days. I am sorry this snow came it
