Stoughton Thanksgiving Afternoon [1947]

Dear Doris. A very pleasant cool day we did it up hours, a very nice dinner turkey & all the fixings. Doris came out late around 10O'clock. She had no breakfast, was out to the mories, didn't get home till around two in the morning. Slept till after eight in the morning, so now since she ate her dinner she has bunked down on the lounge in the kitchen, & is sound a sleep. and now Mrs Barry and S, have gone up stairs in our rooms, to keep the house quiet so to let her rest. for guess, she needs it. She did love our dinner of turkey and it was well cooked with a nice stuffing, sweet potatoes winter squash celery onions cranberry jelly delicious.
