Dear Doris,
Within the last three days our weather has completely changed from cold to hot. yesterday & the day before it has gone up to almost 90° there is a little more air to day so its more livable. with our outside windows on the house is much cooler. the wind is south east. the wind comes into this front chamber window where I sit to write my letter nice & cool. she came home from church & said you dont know how cool this house does seem to the air outside
Since they had this new minister the church is packed. he preaches a very good sermon & they like to hear him. where in no body cared to listen to the other minister. it was more a lecture, then anything else but he got a bigger salary & he had plenty of money & didnt need it. they had a good singer & she complimented Mr Reynolds on his playing & said it was a great help towards her singing & perhaps she might ask him to accompinay her when she sings in Brockton he was so pleased he couldn't get over it. she also told Mrs Barry you ought to sing in public. I did but now I am too old. I thought so with that voice you have she said. she was a big singer. sang the lords prayer & it brought tears to their eyes. they were crazy over her. she was such a good singer. we were glad she could see Frank Reynolds
