Well we never made up a fire to day in the kitchen stove just heated water & my tea on the electric heater & had a small can of lobster & made a salad & canned peas. the first time I have had lobster for ages & you may believe it tasted good. there was just enough in the little can for each of us & neither of us cared for the desert so we saved our pudding for our supper. 

Tomorrow Ralph is coming again to mow our lawn. she saw him in church to day & he told her. then in the afternoon she goes downtown with Winnie Trollope to pay my electric light & telephone bills & from there to Brockton to get a few things she wants to fix her a hat to wear on her vacation. 

This week I think it will be safe to put out my flowers in under the bush. after he mows the grass around it. I think that peony you moved is alive. Doris & I sow it it come up with just one leaf on it. a very old root I brought it over years ago from the old place. dark red used to be Grandma Capens. my peonies are all in bloom both white & pink & the rose bushes are in their prime. & the mountain laurel that has very big clusters & I have bouquets in the house of them. the mountain laurel lasts the longest in the house of any flower I pick.
