Dear Doris

We had the last end of that terrible storm that flooded Brattleborough Vermont a thunder shower with it but not very near but the temperature went down 30 degrees & my didnt it rain. Doris had first gone down town but went into a house on the way till the storm blew over & coming home she went to see Mabel Colcord this time she found her at home. she started on her way at 10 o clock for her visit to New York.I think she will stay week if she dont change her mind. she has slept a lot daytimes when not mowing the grass & cleaning and packing away her clothes. she took a lunch along with her to eat on the way. I have mended her clothes occasionally & she mowed the lawn Saturday before going to Normans. I guess now she has visited most all her friends & went to Church with Mrs Barry Sunday to hear the new minister preach. they all like him in the church. he knows how to preach a good serman for different from Beadner & his daughter is 17 years old & sings in the choir, soprano, they have a good choir now.
