Stoughton May 7th 1947

Dear Doris

We are still having rains almost every day but much warmer weather around 50° early this morning trees are very late in leaving [[leafing]] out, just a few of the maples are coming out not starting on the fruit trees so far & perhaps its better, as the cold temerature [[temperature]] might affect them. after every storm the wind gets into the North West and brings us cooler weather. 

I am writing my letter early in the day so the mailman can take it when he brings it around 10 O'clock he is very good about it even when he has me mail for us he comes once & gets our letters.

There isn't much I can write about as staying night here by my self there is not much to write about. she is going to the movies this afternoon so there is a picture on she wants to see so will do my errands while she is down town & ride home with Winnie young Edith said yesterday that her father was a little better in the hospital & was anxious to come home I dont think he ought to but guess it must be
