Dear Doris

It has cleared off very pleasant & not too cool around 50° outside this morning. The wind flows from the Southwest. People are going to church to hear the new minister. His first appearance Friday night at choir rehearsal they all were much impressed with his friendly atmosphere. I guess his preaching will be far different from what they have been used to in former times. The church was crowded and they were very much pleased with his appearance the wife was far better than Bradners wife she is a singer & will help a lot in the choir. Bill Gebhardts mother died at last, after a terrible long illness over in the Rest room, Bill asked Laura if there had been any provisions made for Miss Barry to attend the funeral and she said she had asked Myrtle Gilcher & so she called up & told her she was going so wanted her to go along with her. It was held at Jaimaca Plains where she used to live when her husband was alive. & there was a lot there, Myrtle & she had a lovely ride & coming home they had an ice cream. Saturday in the afternoon it turned out to be a pleasant day they got around five. Myrtle tried to have her husband go but couldn't raise him.
