I went to School with Howard he married Captain Ellis daughter she was much too good for him and went crazy soon after they married. they are a tough family very passionate.

The family have moved into the Ballantine house they came yesterday. it did sum [[some]] good to see the house once more lited [[lighted]] up. a truck kept bringing up their goods towards the last of the afternoon. their children are very active & so far they keep on their own grounds. one of the little girls went down to the corner store after a loaf of bread we thought, for breakfast. & the woman went out to the Hoods milk truck for milk. they are foreigners & speak a strange language. now if they dont mix much with other children they will be all right, she looks large. he bought a box of apples from a toddler that stopped with his truck. the man was selling potatoes also. he came here with his wares. George McGarvey took his little dogs away in the car for a little run in the wood that last pleasant day before our snowstorm. he says he wants to give them just a little run once every week they are so confined he keeps both pens very clean. he & his wife both work at Belchers shop she makes George a grand wife. they are a very devoted couple.
