Dear Dorris Pleasant but cool for the season of the year. its a holiday so I am taking my time in writing the Sunday letter to you. I am looking for young Doris coming out by tonight, she may think it wont pay for so short a time, if she goes to the dance tonight

Fires are going around the whole neighborhood. people seem to be getting rid of their leaves. I got rid of most of mine by letting them blow down the street after loosening them up around the shrubs. we have had lots of wind this seasons & they can be got rid of much easier in that way than any other its also safer you know Pa was also opposed to fires. we have had lots of them in town this season. The Perdiag truck has been over to Silvers most all day
