Dear Doris

The weather is very mild 73ยบ on the Porch but I fear its only for the present as it is going to grow cold during the night & be cold tomorrow.

Doris called up this noon while we were eating dinner & said she wouldn't be out tonight, as she was going to a dance but would be here Sunday early. so we expect she will be with us tomorrow. Mrs Barry has prepared a nice chicken dinner with carrots, string beans & a rice pudding for desert. we are now looking forward to her coming.

I hope you have received letters from me by this time I don't see why they have been so delayed, for certainly I have written as usual, all the time you were on your trip. theres not much for me to write about, as I dont go neither do I see many people.

Jennies son & wife have moved from the tenement below us. the house was sold she lived up stairs. two married sisters live down stairs. the man who used to own it built down on Dykmans
