The therm says its going up to 60° today (Sunday) if it does we wont build up a fire in the little stove in the sitting room, so save on coal.

Dear Doris

We are having nice pleasant weather & not very cold around 40° the snow storms havn't been many all winter long, only one big drifting one, where we had to be shoveled out. The birds are getting more numerous, but I haven't heard the frogs peep yet.

Doris wrote she wouldn't be out Saturday night as she was going to a dance - but would come Sunday morning. she must be enjoying her school - days & getting acquainted, which must seem good to her. I guess you miss her at home a good deal.

The Ballantines seem happy in their new home, with their sister. Addie told us that Big Brother had lift his calling & would now be with them. he may marry. I guess he missed his home folks & it was an unnatural life to live. The family dont seem to move in. they are still in Florida. I wonder what they will be like. no fence has been put up between their home & the McGarreys it seems lonesome to see a house standing idle. but they still have the drapery curtains up. That were left by the Ballantines. guess. that the reason so many come here after trying to raise some one over there. thinking there some one living there still.

The dormer flannel bundle came Saturday afternoon no I guess it was Friday about noon come to think of it.
