supper. Mysty called up & told us they were pleased to see them. she stays there all day along, while Alice goes to teaching school. she says her knees are awful lame & she cant do any walking or she would go around & so have plenty of chances to enjoy life. she is 79 years & Alice is 66 they board a school teacher who goes home over the weekend. & Mystic stays upstairs in her room most of the time. she came up to see me not so long ago & brought her two daughters Brie & Mildred & a grand child. who served in the war from Vermont & Brie was pleased to see me. I hadn't seen her before since Abbie Joel died. she made another very foolish marriage, but guess cant live with him. 
Gladys said she went up to Vermont during her vacation. I think she she likes Berts girls they are own cousins. Berts girl Dorothy is quite good looking & small where Gladys is large & husky. I received your letter this morning was surprised to hear that Helen was so long in the hospital & then had to go home to her husband who was coming down with a bad cold. hope she dont have to take that on top of the operation. well this letter wont go till tomorrows mail. love Ma
