to it. Gladys dont seem to get along with them as well. I have the last White Oak book its the one when they are all home from the war. she is going to see if she can get some of the others I havent read they are all very interesting & I read them over till I almost know them by heart. there are too many caracters [[characters]] in them but after you once get them into your mind its all right. 

She went downtown Thursday to play cards she won the prize. it was a dear little plant full of bloom I think it was an azelia I have it now in the sun in my bay window very noticeable. 

I hope that cot bed reached you safe it must have been hard to have done up but I sent it along last Tuesday by rockwells express. 

The Ballantine house is still empty I often wonder when the family are coming to town to live they are still in Florida he has a store & is selling out. the house has the draperies up to the windows it makes lots of folks think that some one lives there. more than one have called at our house to see where they are living. 

I am writing my letter early so if any one calls they wont interrupt me. Bill may come. he always asked if there is a letter we want him to mail. this is the last all is well here. love Ma
